John & Marilyn

John & Marilyn celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary at the Lakeshore Restaurant on August 24, 2002 with family and friends. It was a surprise as Jodi and Barry told them that the grandkids wanted to make it a pretend fancy dinner in their back yard so that they would dress up (but wouldn't catch on to the surprise). Very clever. Instead they were taken to the restaurant.

	40 years and still young and smiling.
	Just like 40 years ago but sitting down now.
	... and the cake is a bit smaller.
	Jodi and Barry did the planning.
	Eileen Condon & Linda Armstrong. Eileen introduced Marilyn to genealogy and Salt Lake City.
	Eileen, Linda & Stu Armstrong (Jodi's parents and Braxton & Brady's other grandparents.)
	Terry & Sheila McKague are former neighbors (they moved away for a peaceful and quiet area of the city).
	Ready for the 50th.
	... now cut that out. Good, good, good.
	Arnie and June first met John and Marilyn in Calgary some 42 years ago.
	Barry went to get the car.
	On the way home June and Arnie went through the park and Lanterns On the Lake was finishing and when they got to the apartment there was a bat flying in their hallway! It was a memorable evening.
